( autumn nox )

Loki has mostly only let his students out of lecture for the day because of the guest lecturing and, because, he wants to hear someone speaking on compulsion and he does not want his students knowing that he's sneaking off to hear Gold Court lectures when he should be giving them tests. He suspects they'll know, regardless, but Loki supposes no one will be fool enough to bring it up to him.

He settles in a chair and crosses his long legs in front of him, taking copious notes. Someone settles in the chair next to him and he acknowledges them only by shifting just a bit.

"Shh, I'm learning more from this man than I learned from anyone in my entire formal education in compulsion."

( pumpkins gone wild )

They're everywhere. Loki has his appreciation for his Silver Court fellows, of course, but they can be very enthusiastic for what they do and that's how there's an abundance of pumpkins threatening to take over the entire grounds. He has the strength to break up the vines by hand, naturally, but he's chosen to do it with a hoe instead. All he'd wanted was a nightly walk on the grounds to clear his head, not to become a gardener, but here he is. There's a vine snaking around his left ankle while he chops at another in front of him.

"A little help, if you would? We need to get ahead of this madness."

( library )

Loki might have been one of the people who misplaced a volume here or there but because he has to live in this castle and use this library, he thinks it would serve him well to be on the good side of the librarians. Perhaps they will conveniently forget all of the books he's squirreled away in his own office if he helps track down a few rogue volumes from traveling scholars.

There's an elderly vampire who has a horde he's sitting on top of and while the vampire has ages on him and is, in all ways, his better, Loki has the advantage of being taller and has a longer reach. It is only this that lets him get some of the books away and he sees someone behind him.

"Help me, would you? He's asleep right now and if we get these back we can trade on that goodwill for at least a season."
