[ As far as Will was concerned the Blue Court vampires could have the spotlight with his blessings. Over the years Will had made a study of the other Courts and he had, what he felt, was a pretty good read on their strengths and weaknesses. Blue Court and their masks, sometimes he could still see through the masks, sometimes he couldn't and often times he didn't bother trying.

Something he liked about the Basement was the way it often leveled the playing field. All the interpersonal politics and social niceties observed above stairs were often stripped away down here. Will appreciated the brutal honesty of the place.

The smaller vampire was starting to come down off the high he always experienced when he let his inner monster flex its teeth. He glanced away in response to the praise of his performance, only looking back when Ed asked the direct question. ]

YES! [ Will swallowed against the boast of his monster and took a moment to choose a more diplomatic answer.

The irony of this action, coming hard on the heels of his thoughts about how truthful the Basement could be, was not lost on him. But his uneasy relationship with his monster was settling back across his shoulders like a horsehair sweater. ]
