"That's purely because of amusement," she admitted with honesty, but it doesn't stop her from leaning over to look at the notes that had been written already. it's free information, and judging by the way she tracked her reading with a pinky, she was either a very quick read, or was looking for certain keywords to help herself out.

"It's easy to think someone does well in Silver because they want to know a lot," she started softly, though the tone remained light, as she noted a few things in her book from both the notes and also listening to the lecture. Then there were the 'nutshell' notes that had assumptions (presented as theories) about Gold Court's nature and why they rely on it. Like them being narcissists, or not willing to try hiring and actually paying people. "Really, I'm just aware that I'm behind in everything and want to catch up. Because I lived foraging and hunting for medicinal and food purposes, and was taught some emergency methods, I've got a slight advantage in this court."

That and her interactions during the ceremony with Black Court members had them feel she was too 'innocent' for touching their classes. Eden thought she'd do well because she understood the various sides of nature. That didn't convince them.
