Halsin hadn't really expected to have anyone ask him questions and especially not something so important. He smiles down at the man, clearly taking his time to think about what he should say. It's difficult, if only because there's a large part of Halsin that thinks that one shouldn't fight their nature. But that's hypocritical because he does it too.

"If someone came to me, for anything, I would try to help them out. I am only fifty years a vampire, but I have studied very hard to learn all I can about the process. There might be ways of making it more manageable. For example, I don't drink from Thralls. I only take from those who are fully willing...or from those who have done grievous wrong and should not live to harm further." And even then, he doesn't hunt them himself. He has friends in the Black that keep him well supplied. He chooses not to ask where it comes from.
