It's only normal, yes, and exactly what she's expecting. This isn't who she's expecting though, she admits, and tries not to let any disappointment show. After all, this can still be a lesson. ... The sight of the knife is exciting though despite herself. While the woman knows it's only going to be used for its proper purpose (boring), she can still appreciate the device.
