There's not much that Satoru's impressed by. He has a high opinion of himself, and very exacting standards, so most displays of vampiric power are boring to him. But Ed's a friend, and he doesn't have a whole lot of those, so he always watching him shapeshift. It's just neat!
Ed's description is so on point that Satoru spots the librarian in question immediately. Problem one: said librarian is wearing a robe.
Problem two, Satoru discovers after a subtle intrusion into their mind.
"I can confirm we have a no underwear situation," he whispers, as serious as a soldier stranded behind enemy lines. He leans back so that he's no longer peering around the doorway, and strokes his chin thoughtfully. "We'll have to steal someone else's. There's two other people wearing robes in there; the big guy near the back that's reading about beetles, and the girl in the history section."
