SLUMBER PARTY
It appears that a number of the Castle's residents have been denied an important experience: sleepovers. Blue Court's own Edgin Darvis set out to fix this, but what started as a simple affair quickly became a bigger deal thanks to the meddling of other Blue Court members. Soon enough, all the Castle's residents receive an invitation for a sleep over the night--yes, the night--before the upcoming solar eclipse. After all, everyone will be awake during the day for once, so that extra bit of sleep might come in handy!
But sleeping at night instead of during the day is far from the most notable thing about this slumbering affair. The main hall, usually used for Beginnings, Becomings, and the occasional ball, has been transformed into a veritable kingdom of sleeping. Complex blanket forts and even castles have been created throughout the room. Pillows, stuffed animals, and blankets are present within them and in piles to further deck out the space. There's more than enough to go around for everyone.
Of course a true slumber party is not complete without activities! For the novices, there are all kinds of foods set out, including marshmallows that can be warmed in the fire place to make s'mores. There's plenty of makeup for every complexion, and a rainbow of nail polish to do each other's nails. The Castle's librarians have also provided a set of spooky and/or steamy stories to read aloud in groups.
And because it wouldn't be a Courtsheart affair if they didn't acknowledge that sleeping together might lead to other things, there are plenty of little spaces tucked away in blanket forts and in the wings for a little quiet getaway to spend with that special or one-night someone. Make merry for Spring and all that.
Sleep tight!

ONE NIGHT (DAY) ONLY
All throughout the month, the Castle is abuzz with discussion of the upcoming a solar eclipse: a day where the moon will block out sun. Everyone says the solar eclipse is a "once-in-a-lifetime" opportunity, but that's just vampires being facetious--after all, they live hundreds of human lifetimes. The reality is the eclipse seems to occur on the will of the gods alone, though the last one hasn't been seen in over twenty years.
This is the one day that vampires can go out during the day, and it's quite rare that the moon covers the sun for the entirety of the "daytime" hours. The solar eclipse is a blessing and a curse. Vampires will be able to go outside, but all powers are blocked during this period. No mind-reading, no compulsion, no shapeshifting, and no masks. Vampires must be careful--if they meet a dread blade during this period, no one will be able to heal them. Black Court vampires are on alert even more than usual to keep the peace, and to ensure that everyone survives.
Still, many vampires feel that the risks are worth the benefits. The Castle and its forest have a different feel during the day, and even with the sun being blocked, some of the wildlife still know it's daytime. Maybe it's time to organize that bird watching outing you've been hoping for? The birds will be singing, the sun will not be shining, and for once, everyone is on the same level. Use this day wisely!

MARCHÉ DU SOLEIL
The solar eclipse brings with it the Marché du Soleil, a special market that convenes only on days where the sun is entirely blocked. The market sets up in the Castle grounds promptly at 5am on the morning of the eclipse, just moments before the dawn. It seemingly springs up out of nowhere, aided by magic that was supposed to be only in fairy tales.
The market itself is a labyrinth, winding this way and that without any perceptible logic. The merchants are as varied as their goods, selling everything from "allegedly" powerful magical items, to fortunes, to mundane teapots (but we hear they're very nice.) Some colorful tents offer card and palm readings. Wagons hold exotic animals from every corner of the globe. Enclosed stalls offer chance encounters with that special someone or potent drinks to enjoy the rare chance to drink like a human.
With all powers dampened, this market is a safe ground for the magical denizens of this world, like witches and dryads, nymphs and selkies. They all look human here though, so the only way you'll know the truth is if they tell you. But don't worry, they aren't shy! In fact, some of these stall owners may look at the vampires of the castle with the same wonder and amusement as the vampires might regard them.
But how will our powerless castle residents pay for all these goods? Not to worry -- the Council is generous enough to hand out bags of coins to all youngbloods and novices, which they can use to purchase anything throughout the market. The coins are emblazoned with the solar eclipse, and are valid only in the Marché du Soleil. Don't spend it all in one place! Or do. You can come back for more, if you don't mind speaking to the Council.
Players are free to assume that characters can purchase any non-magical item from the market, they stock everything! Clothes, pens, furniture, you name it! For any magical item, players will need to submit threads to the item gacha reward. Anyone who interacts with this prompt will earn one free magic item the gacha! If playing the gacha for the market, please mark that in your request.

A NEW MOON DAWNS
With the eclipse and the market (and the big slumber party) all happening at once, the rest of April and early May seem almost tame in comparison. Classes are getting into full swing, and without random flowers sprouting up all over the Castle (or inside the hearts of the Castle's residents), everyone can actually focus on their academics for once!
But of course you didn't think we'd let you go a whole month without something ominous, did you?
Starting in late April, residents of the castle will begin to notice the sound of howling from the woods becomes more frequent and louder. By early May, Black Court classes have to be moved from the forest itself to inner courtyard and the training areas at the gates, for "safety" reasons, whatever that means.
But Black Court classes aren't the only ones making adjustments. Silver Court classes start to warn about what to do in case of a werewolf bite, how to treat the poison, and the necessity of making sure the person gets help right away. Red Court fighting classes include a unit on fighting non-human opponents, with Blue Court vampires playing wolves, lions, and bears to help students practice fighting them.
The Council's vampires take this threat much more seriously than the ones before it--even more seriously than the string of murders, it seems. But they have no strong answers about the threat, even as the howling seems to get closer by the day. Just what could the future hold...?

CLASS NOTES
Other notable happenings for the Spring season include:
- The winner for the Spring Novice Tournament has been chosen via RNG! That winner is Trilla Suduri of the Black Court. Trilla's prowess in battle led her to victory, and have earned her the Red Court's favor. Congratulations!
- The new season means new classes! Youngbloods have begun teaching their new courses for the Spring season, and students get to enjoy a slightly harder curriculum as their vampiric abilities grow and develop. Don't worry about the sudden shift in curriculum later into the month, I'm sure that's fine and temporary and nothing bad will happen.
- Anyone wise enough to strike up a conversation with the witches or nymphs of the Marché du Soleil may find that they're quite knowledgeable about potions, elixirs and perhaps even... curses? They certainly seem to know a thing or two about flowers and seeds, and refuse to sell any magical items related to them. Interesting!
- Spring is here, for real! The castle is graced with the occasional midnight rain, leaving the grounds looking fresh (muddy) and clean (wet.) Lucky for students, most classes occur indoors, but any trips to the greenhouse or classes on the grounds might get a little messier than they've been in the past. Make sure to wear proper footwear!
- After an exciting exchange of truths and lies on the journals, castle residents who participated in that post may find a small gift at their door from an anonymous source. The gift? An elegant feather pen in the same color as the recipient's court. The letter reads: "I always appreciate those who keep this castle exciting. -- Sincerely, LW." Oh, who are we kidding? It's from Lady Whisperfangs.
That's all for now! As always, characters are free to talk to the NPCs: Revar & Kashire & Claudia. For any questions regarding this month's prompts, please comment in the Q&A Section. For general game questions, please check the FAQ/Game Info. In the meantime, remember to submit your Regains for this month's free reward, and keep an eye out for our AC Check-in next week, starting on April 25-30.
Thanks for joining us and we hope you're looking forward to the spring and all the thrills to come!

slumber party
[ Sharel can't remember the last time he had a 'slumber party', unless one counts spending the night somewhere with his bandmates. But that's just not the same. Gloomy as the Castle can be, this is actually quite a lot of fun! He's dressed in a loosely tied silky shirt and some pants, but who knows where he'll end up. The night is young.
He hears the suggestion of painting nails and telling stories and immediately volunteers himself. ]

Cinched around his trim waist is his broad sword belt, the leather as scarred and scuffed as the boots. The rapier hangs off the left side of the belt, but where the rest of the belt is usually naked when he's wandering around the castle now the right side is balanced with silver cylinders and small leather pouches.
Lockwood's eyes are pure gold as he stands at the edge of the forest, staring into its depths, towards the sounds of growls, howls, and snarls. His expression is impassive, though his body language is alert.
He doesn't turn towards Xenk. He doesn't need to, with his mind open and listening as far as he can into the woods. ]
You look miserable. [ He remarks, when Xenk is close enough that Lockwood can speak without having to shout. ]

Elias Argent | Youngblood | Silver Court
(ooc: feel free to tag in even if you're not in the class, we can say the trip is open to all)
[Elias’ second-season alchemy and medicines class involves a field-trip to the greenhouses to see how medicinal plants are cultivated. The class gathers on the castle steps on the morning of the trip; the air is cool and breezy, and droplets of overnight rain still cling to the stone gargoyles that peer out of the castle walls. It’s chilly weather, but surely a little mud and rain isn’t enough to cancel a field-trip over…]
Marché du Soleil
[The lack of Masks is a bother- ten years on, he's not comfortable in the underfed barely-an-adult body he was turned in- but the novelty off an outdoors market is too much to pass up. Elias can be found browsing through the various stalls, simply taking everything in. Ignore that he's wearing his masquerade ball mask (he picked one out for a formal event like five years ago and has been reusing it since)- vampires should understand, and novices will be in for an earful if they point it out.
At some point, he might look in interest at a fellow vampire’s haul while taking a break at the fringes of the market- he himself might be enjoying a new snack not found in the castle, or unwrapping an item of his own.]
What's the most interesting thing you've seen so far?

Marché du Soleil - If you're curious about the link, it's called a 'kandouko'; neat little thing!
Whether Elias intended to aim the question only at Vampires or not though, one would hardly blame someone for making exceptions given what Cotton is carrying.]
They said it's used to warm alcohol, [she croaks with a smile, happily letting the other inspect the odd box.] And apparently, it works for tea as well. I'm hoping to see if perhaps it might one day work for bloodwine as well, but even if that isn't the case, it will make a lovely gift to pass down through the seasons I think...
[Best case though, she gets to keep this sucker around for decades to come.]

[So this is a sleepover, it's pretty similar to camping out in the woods, or holing up in some abandoned barn, but it's a lot nicer in other ways. Pillows for one.
Harlock sets out several glasses, pour a small measure of mead in each as he pulls out two coins, smirking slightly]
Let me teach you a little game.
[Or perhaps, given as his nails has gone unadorned, perhaps someone should ambush him for some finger-painting]
2. Market Mischief
[Harlock strolled through the Marketplace, the coin jingling in hand. At a booth for a Smith he is examining a few swords, giving them some test thrusts with a critical eye while the vendor extols the virtues of each one. Or later, he is selecting bottles of alcohol, mead, wines, sherry]
this for casual drink, this one for special occasions... and this, for when I want to get blind-drunk and sleep.
3. The Howling
[Curious as how much more cautious the youngbloods and older Vampires seem to have gotten, Harlock couldn't help but sneak around the castle grounds to try to get a peek, even in the rain. The sound is dangerous, he's not unfamiliar with wolves, but something about this is different]
So that's what a werewolf sounds like...?

Eden Woods | Silver | Novice (3rd season)
A. Fun and Games
After talking with Edgin and finding out that the slumber party was actually happening, there was no way that Eden was going to miss it. There wasn't so much doubt in it being done, but surprise at how soon after they'd talked, and just how big it had become. Which meant getting everyone they knew to the hall... Even carrying one Trilla Suduri (having claimed it was to test her strength and stamina.) Though. It was also clear that Eden didn't really know what to expect, so she wasn't particularly dressed for all the kinds of fun there was to be had. The green sheer and lace nightgown was covering more than enough, most definitely, but it was definitely on the shorter end. At least the lace layer was closer to the lower third of the thigh, but having someone picked up and carried was certainly a risky choice.
Not that it was going to stop he from taking part with everything. Putting and trying on makeup, doing nails, and when not refueling with the smores set-up that was in place, aiming some pillows right for people's backs and forts.
B. Nook Break
There were just a few timse when Eden was found going to one of the tucked away spaces, after having looked longingly towards some people and the activities they were enjoying. With a warm cuppa, she hid away for just a few minutes. It was a lot of new, after all...
Really, most of the time she was just taking a bit of medicine to keep allergy symptoms under control. Not that it did much about the fatigue...
Which is why she could be found in those times lounging in the nest of pillows and blankets without a care on how her clothes were. Either awake and half-dozed with eyes partially open, or fully passed out for those ten minutes. (Or 'passed out' as some people knew how she liked those scenarios... Affection and more were plenty welcome.)
2. Shop du Soleil
Not having been so tied to their vampire abilities, Eden was fine being limited to a single form and it was honestly refreshing to know that one didn't have to be on mental guard while around everyone. So the chance to meet other kinds of people, actual witches, and see all the exotic animals; there's a time when one can see Eden with a colorful parrot and reptiles in her hands or wrapped around her person. Even a snake that could've easily been as long as she was tall...
Aside from a moment of stumbling out of a palm reading tent, confused and disturbed, it was hard to find a point where Eden was without smiles. Sometimes even grabbing a familiar face to a jewelry or clothing spot to hold it up alongside them. While the style may be unique, one can't deny that the color looks quite complementary. "We should definitely get you this. It looks so nice."
3. Werewolves of Courtsheart
The first time there was a howling, Eden pointedly dismissed it to the forest wolves being on alert about something. There was a new kind of prey to hunt down, or something along those lines. As it got louder, however, Eden would pointedly pause and stare off in the distance. It was a little too similar, and her eyes had a disturbed familiarity to them while recounting the nightmare again.
No, they couldn't pretend those were the local wolves at this point. "M-Maybe they're just passing though..."
It wasn't necessarily fear in her voice, though. Any stuttering was Eden getting out of other thoughts, and holding a particular wariness. In fact, some times she'd even start wandering in the direction.
(( Of course there's always the 'Wildcard' option. Take things from any point in any of the prompts, and I'll match style. Don't feel bound to prose. ))
SHOP SHOP SHOP
Which means bargains, haggling, and spotting a scam.
Or at least in this case, being choosey about what they're after. Just for now. Yasuho considers the earrings being held to the sides of her face honestly, but she can't quite decide if it's...Her.
"Hmmm...you think? They're really unique, I feel like we'll want to find a good gown to go with something like these..."

Yuri | Silver | Novice
[This is dumb. This is so dumb.
Yuri isn't one to socialize, and he especially isn't one to attend large gatherings that involve socialization unless he's forced to. A slumber party isn't something he has any interest in -- he has his own bed, thank you, and his own private room. That's more than enough for him. He's perfectly happy sleeping away from other people (and in fact relishes it, even though with all the classes he's taking and tests being run by his Maker means he doesn't get much time to do it).
A slumber party, to an antisocial depression-napper such as himself, is like a living hell. And Bones dragged him to one.
That's why he's taken up residence at the very edge of the gathering, as far away from all of it as possible, in some dark corner by himself. That's also why he's looking up from his book whenever he spots Bones, so he can give him his most vicious I'm-going-to-murder-you-in-your-sleep glare that he can muster.
Aside from that he's focusing on trying to just get through the damn night without dying of oversocialization. He's dressed in a plain, long-sleeved shirt and pajama pants (grey and black, utterly boring) and he's curled up on some blankets, hunched over quietly. His nose to stuck so far into his book (Frankenstein, he figures the horror-science-fiction novel is the bare minimum of participation) that it's a wonder if he's ever going to come up for air.]
Marché du Soleil
[The solar eclipse and the market are a little more Yuri's speed (namely because they involve very little speaking to other people). He's read a bit about the astronomical science behind the eclipse, and he makes an effort to go out when the market is going on to do a little wandering.
He skips the card and palm readings, and while he's curious about the supposedly magical vendors, it's hard for him to approach them. Even he knows how tactless it is to walk up to someone and ask about their biology.
But it's fine. He can observe, and he even checks out some of the wares that are being sold. The Council gave them all money to spend, so why not? Most of it doesn't catch his interest, though after looking through a few stalls he eventually stops at one, picking something up.
In his hand is an absolutely knitted doll. It kind of looks like a child's interpretation of a ghost, though some people may recognize it as a traditional talisman meant to bring good weather and prevent rainy days. It's the complete opposite of anything Yuri would ever like, it's honestly kind of amazing he's even giving the thing any kind of attention.
But he is. He's glaring down at it like it's offended him.]
A New Moon Dawns/Classes
[With the new season comes new classes, and Yuri has signed up for a few rough ones. He's expecting it with Basic Compulsion, given his issues with thralls. And Lydia's class on using daggers isn't easy either, though he expected that with his lack of athleticism and all.
But Journey to Your Inner Animal, that one he didn't expect to be so difficult. Enough classes have passed that he's managed to figure out his inner animal - honestly, that part wasn't too hard. He knows himself pretty well, so he was expecting some kind of predator. An owl makes sense to him, though it would've been nice to be something larger than a screech owl....
No, he's got another issue. One he's fairly sure is related to his brain injury, but... well. On the off-chance it isn't....
(It'd be really cool to be able to fly, is all.)
He can be found in the library, a couple of ornithology books tucked under one arm. Leaning up against the stacks, he's flipping through another until he gets to the chapter on wing anatomy. Then he pauses and starts reading through, very intent.
He can also be found outside in the inner courtyard, in the evening or at dawn, sitting on the ground in complete silence with a pencil and notebook in his hands. It feels ridiculous to him, but observing some birds in flight might help.
Watching a small flock of chickadees, he scowls when some distant howling causes them to scatter.]
Tche, annoying.

Shizuo Heiwajima | Black Court Youngblood
There was no way that anyone was going to get Shizuo to paint nails or do any of that. However, when everyone seemed to be going (including his novice,) Shizuo decided that he'd go in his own way. Somewhere in a corner there were clothes tucked away, because he didn't need them for a while.
Instead, with a bunch of the stuffed animals, there looked to be a life sized tiger one, just laying there! Not moving, but sometimes one could see the way the eyes moved to track some of the parties moving around. Or after a long stare, (a staring contest?) there's a slow blink.
It's only one day without vampire powers, they said. It'll be fine, they said. Except because of it, Shizuo was doing something he never really did, which was wearing a hat that completely covered his scalp. It's the exact same thing he'd done 20 years ago when there was an eclipse last, in order to hide every bit of ash brown hair that he had. Between that and being unable to wear his sunglasses because his human night vision was never as great.
He needed all the vision he could get to catch anyone running past too quickly, or notice other little dangers. "Just one day, they say..."
More people meant it was that much more of a problem. Yet despite this being his riskiest and most dangerous time, Shizuo was ready to get in the way of any fights or other problems. That's what happens when you're ready to act as a shield for others.
At least there's one good thing about being around in incognito mode, or so Shizuo likes to think he is, which is going through the market. Not just to make sure the peace is kept, and to spend a few coins, but to see the wares and make sure no one was getting fleeced. Between having had a more worldly experience with what many goods and animals were worth, and having been through the market a previous eclipse, he could get close and try some of the stuff.
Including stopping someone's hand from paying for something. It was either because it wasn't using authentic ingredients or knowing when the quality wasn't up to snuff, or because he knew about a particular animal. However he started with a "Hold onto those coins before you waste 'em."
There's not just lions going around on a regular patrol, but with his classes sort of... Nerfed to being in the training areas and going by too quickly for his liking, Shizuo was also going around spending both class time and outside of it wandering in animal form. Which was a large tiger that was white with thick black markings, padding through and sometimes stopping a bit of a ways from others to shake off the rain water.
With a look that said he clearly felt no guilt over it. Especially if you're near the forest when you were someone who shouldn't be. Or to knock people out of being distracted.
What, you going to do something about it? This was a tiger that was definitely over 500lbs.
Slumber Sentinel
Far more perceptive than the airheaded way she often presents herself, she had eventually taken notice of the pile of stuffed animals ... and that not all of them are really what they seem.
When things are somewhat quiet and she's done telling stories or painting nails for a while, she ambles over there, somewhat dressed, and bends down a bit. "Now what are you doing alone over here?" She smiles in her usual way.

'Camelia' Cotton (Cookie) | Blue Court Novice
[The concept of a sleepover- at least in this regard- is quite the foreign thing for old Cotton. The old woman shows up in a comfortable nightgown that somehow manages to convey a sense of folk homeliness rather than the splendor of Castle Courtsheart, and takes with her a good supply of knitting to boot. She makes herself comfortable pretty much immediately- as one does- and once it's 'time' for sleep she'll be out like a light too.
But that's later, and this is now. For now, Cotton hobbles over to check out that s'mores making thing with a look of curiosity in her eyes.]
Ohhhhh...now there's a treat I've never seen...Would you be willing to show me how to make these perhaps?
[Of course, none of the vampires are likely over there, so chances are more likely that the faculty will spot Cotton near the makeup- again with that amused curiosity.]
Ohohohoho! I have to say, I was not much for these applications growing up as a child...they were considered quite luxurious you see- perhaps you can help this old lady to see how it's done.
{Marché Teas}
[Suffice to say, Cotton is quite refreshed and ready when the eclipse comes and everyone's awake for the day rather than the night. As a novice, it's hardly as if it's that much different for her; she's still old, she's still mortal, and she's still gathering herself up in layers of shawls to prevent the chill that all those her age (who aren't vampiric at least) get the joys of experiencing.
Even so, it's a once in a (few decades) experience, and she's not about to miss the only time she'll experience it truly mortal. Cotton hobbles her way slowly down the market stalls with a wide smile on her face, and she happily spends it socializing with the others hawking their wares- many of whom are quite amused by the rarity of such an old little biddy being there at all.
One such object really catches her eye however.]
Oh....Oh, now what is this fantastic little thing..?
[
Unlike the image-It appears to be something made of rather beautiful- and certainly safe for vampiric touch- metal. One side is clearly meant to store hot, burning coals, the other however...]Is it for tea then..? ...Tea and alcohol, oh well now...
[Perhaps novices and vampires alike will be interested in these things now too- at the very least for vampires, nothing beats a gently warmed bloodwine in a crisp morning, even if you can't feel it.]
{To The Wolves}
[Cotton looks a little more grim around the tail end of the month, and those who know her probably won't have to wonder why. Cotton has mentioned more than a few times how she spent the years of her youth, and so as the night fills with distant howls she looks out the windows with a grim line on her face.
It's a strangely serious look, given who it is.]
We had stories about them, [she says gently when it appears someone is waiting for her to speak.] Careful warnings, and attempts to protect ourselves and our loved ones. ...but I suspect indeed that the only thing truly standing between us, and them, were the vampires of the north.
...There was not much that a wee one could do against a wolf, after all.
[Nor someone of her age and infirmity either, though that will at least change with a bit of time.]
Yasuho Hirose | Gold Court Novice
[Just as many others are having the experience of a sleepover for the first time, so too is Yasuho arriving with some books under one arm (fiction, thank everything), and a gold nightgown over herself. One could almost think Yasuho was feeling awkawrd at this slumber party. ...They'd be correct. Oh, she does a pretty good job of hiding it of course- happily helping out with blanket fortresses and s'more making- and anyone she doesn't know well, anyone who's a mere acquaintence, will certainly get a nice and cheery-]
Hey there~!
[.............................but anyone who actaully knows Yasuho?
...At least enough to ask if she's doing alright? Well.]
...This. ...is my first 'sleepover'...
[She was not a popular child.]
{Marché Madness}
[If there's anything Yasuho can get behind it's a shopping trip.
Being in a merchant family growing up meant that Yasuho's family wasn't particularly hard on cash- certainly not drowning in it, but they didn't have too many issues, and the result of that balance in addition to the merchantry end means there's a hidden joy of hunting for a good bargain.
And of course, just seeing the various wares.] Awwww....they're so cute..~
[In this case it's the menagerie maintained at this stall.] I almost want to ask what the Castle thinks of pets...
[A cough.] Though I'm not actually sure how safe that would be...at least my pigeons are kept in an assigned coop...
{Blue Booked}
[There is something very handy about being able to keep one's classes sorted by court without the use of multiple books. It's to be expected that her Gold classes at least link in together well enough- certainly enough that when she transcribes her notes from her slate to paper later on, she need only change which ink is being used to keep the classes separate- but that her court classes for Blue happen to mesh this well is simply divine.
It's to that end, that she can be spotted journalling in a lovely blue covered book in the early evenings through spring. For 'scrapbooking', she's making sure to write all she can down on paper. That everything is clear, and more importantly appropriate for others to be reading over. And...]
Hmm. I suppose I should be grateful that I haven't had any of those...weird memories...
[Especially after that experience with Shizuo, hiihhh. Well.
It's her second set of notes, for the introductory course for finding one's inner animal, that gets interesting.]
Inquisition, and darkness... ...Maybe something better suited for stealth..?
[Her second blue class is decidedly more philosophical, she finds.]
Marché Madness
[Sarah purses her lips a little as she peeps in on that menagerie.]

Fix? Oh, um. Sure.

Trilla Suduri | Black | Novice
Trilla has never been invited to such a thing, never having lived in one place long enough to gather an excess of friends, or even classmates, as her mother attended to all of Trilla's education. Still, her curiosity isn't quite enough to get her here all on her own. After a number of messages from friends who didn't seem inclined to take no for an answer, Trilla had been on the verge of relenting -- but wasn't given the chance, as she was rather forcibly hauled down here by Eden Woods with the excuse that Eden needed to test her strength.
Taking note of the many comfortable resting spots and the array of snacks, Trilla eventually finds herself sitting with a bottle of nail polish in one hand, looking longingly at the s'mores being constructed a small distance away.
"Perhaps I ought to have eaten one of those before starting this. I don't think marshmallow is very attractive when stuck in one's manicure."
Marche de Soleil
Trilla has come to the market with a mission, though it's a secret one. There are a number of people in her life who have proven themselves worthy of her respect. Affection, even, though she's loath to display it in public. For those people, she's seeking small tokens of said affection to be left upon their doorsteps without further comment.
It's difficult, however, when she has neither given nor received an excess of gifts before. She and her mother exchanged holiday gifts, and she remembers a few particularly touching birthday presents -- but only one of her gifts is going to a family member, and that family member may be the most difficult of the lot to choose anything for.
Whomever she's shopping for, she's deep in contemplation of a table full of small trinkets when a familiar -- or unfamiliar -- person comes up behind her and causes her to take a step back as though caught at something.
"I'm done here, go ahead."
New Moon
She knows she's not meant to be out here, but Trilla can't help herself; she stands at the edge of the castle grounds, just before they turn into forest. A closer-than-usual howl makes her pause in apprehension; werewolf bites sound particularly nasty. Still, she's going stir-crazy having to stick so close to the castle all the time now. She's better than this; in another season she'll have to be up to the task of patrolling like any other Black Court member.
It is caution rather than fear that stops her from going further, as she's well aware that she can't patrol anything if she's dead. Still, it rankles, and she can be found cursing mildly under her breath as she stands a moment longer on the precipice of danger.
Perhaps all she needs is a voice of reason -- or of rebellion.

"What was that Trilla dear? Oh! Are you painting your nails and you want one?" Snow plucked a s'mores off the plate. "Say aaaaah, Trilla~" she giggled. "You paint, I'll feed!"
Astarion | Red | Youngblood
[ Of course Astarion is going to go to the slumber party. Pretend as he might otherwise, he never really had any experiences like this. Is he wearing a cute little satin negligee? It's fine we're all friends here. Plus, he's got a satin robe over it so it's tasteful. But that's really because he's hiding his newly regained scars.
And while he actually means to have some "fun" with a few choice friends, Astarion finds himself joining in on some of the actual activities. Reluctantly, at first, but then he ends up happily painting other people's nails, helping with hair, and, at one point, finds himself at a table making cute jewelry.
Later on, Astarion can be found sharing steamy stories and sneaking around, too.
He doesn't stay the whole night, however. Just before dawn he sneaks off under the last shadows of the night. ]
marché du soleil.
[ Not being able to mask is on Astarion's top ten list of things he hates, but he also really does want to go to the market. So he settles on a big hat with a veil that obscures his hair (brown and tied up in a ponytail) and his face (much younger) and tries to make the best of it. This is just fashion, you know! Truly don't think about it that hard.
Astarion is most interested in jewelry and shiny things, but he's got a curiosity that extends to most of the stalls, and he can be found just about anywhere. ]
three wolf moon.
[ Astarion's blade classes now involve learning how to fight with animals, sometimes courtesy of some helpful blue court members. But Astarion himself seems particularly on edge about these developments, and he seems to be spending a lot more time near the forest and occasionally snooping on a certain someone's (it's Fenris) black court classes. Maybe you even catch him muttering to himself: ]

Edgin Darvis | Blue Court | Youngblood
[ Edgin is legitimately nervous getting this whole thing set up. He's got a lot of help, of course, but he hadn't expected it to turn into such a big to do! He's hardly ever put this much effort into something happening in the castle, and he's got all the very real jitters he'd have trying to make something like this go well for Kira.
He stands and surveys the kingdom being set up in the hall, watching all the blanket forts coming together, all the snacks and activities being delivered. ]
Well, if nothing else, they're going to get the whole experience.
slumber party
[ Once everyone arrives, Edgin is a nervous but present host even though, really, he doesn't have to host at all. Still, he kind of flitters about, checking on everyone making sure they're having fun, seeing if they need anything from him.
After he's certain everyone's settled in, he gets settled in too and allows himself to join in on the festivities, eventually taking up in a blanket fort where he tells stories and will happily help with anyone's hair. He's got his lute, too, of course. He's the lute guy. ]
This is actually going really well, I think?
one day only.
[ See, since he's a vampire, it doesn't matter that he didn't sleep. And when morning comes (morning!) he's bright eyed and bushy tailed. In fact, Edgin takes a group to go birdwatching, which he's not actually that good at, but he is very enthusiastic about! Mostly, he's just excited to be out in the day time.
Later on, he might also be found at the market, or in the stables saddling up a horse to go for a ride around the grounds to really enjoy the day.
This may actually be his favorite day of the whole year. ]

Daenerys Targaryen | Gold | Youngblood
Dany is never entirely comfortable at large gatherings of vampires, and she doesn't have enough in the way of childhood nostalgia for this one feel much different. Still, she feels a need to put in an appearance largely for the sake of the novices. She can be found off to the sidelines reading a novel, a glass of bloodwine at her side. Those looking closely may note that she occasionally goes quite a while without turning a page, her attention apparently on something besides the words in front of her.
One Day Only
Powers or no, Dany isn't going to pass up the chance to enjoy the sun for the first time in years. She can be found taking a contemplative walk around the castle grounds -- perhaps accompanied by a novice or two who might still feel safer in the company of a fully-fledged vampire -- and eventually heading to the market. What she's in search of, she won't say, but she does linger a touch longer at one stall, her fingers running lightly over a tiny carved dragon egg that is said to become warm to the touch all on its own.
